This course is designed for personnel that are required to respond to an emergency involving fire. It will provide them with the knowledge and skills required to safely handle emergency situations in an aggressive manner. The primary goal of this course is to provide proper emergency response techniques to ensure personnel protection, environmental considerations, and aggressive actions to extinguish the fire situation while it is still in the incipient stage.
The objectives of this course are to instruct the participants in:
• Proper selection of fire extinguishing agents.
• Limitations of the various extinguishing agents.
• Proper use of extinguishers utilizing the PASS system.
By completing this course, the participants will acquire the skills and knowledge required to safely and aggressively approach an incipient stage fire in order to extinguish it.
